Dovetail Sauna was founded by Taylor Webb to bring architectural care, construction knowledge, and material sensitivity to the design of high-quality custom saunas.

After more than 33 years in architecture and construction, Taylor has worked on a wide range of demanding projects: net-zero and PassiveHouse buildings in cold climates, historic restorations throughout the National Park system, fire-resistant homes in forested landscapes, and advanced indoor agricultural and manufacturing spaces. Across that work, the through-line has been a lasting interest in beautiful, high-performing spaces with highly designed envelopes where craft, technology, material, and human experience come together. Saunas bring those interests into a smaller, more intimate scale. For Taylor, a sauna is a focus for careful attention. Heat, air, water, wood, light, proportion, comfort, and construction detailing all have to work together. When they do, the result is a place of restoration, quiet, and deep presence. It is my mission to bring as many beautiful saunas into the world as possible.
